Just in time for the Oscars! Students in Elena Peterson’s Honors Spanish classes delved into Argentinian cinema by creating sequels to the 1985 film La historia oficial (The Official Story). They were asked to work in groups to develop their own short films, entirely in Spanish, and were required to create a dramatic plot twist! After screening these cinematic gems, “Oscars” (made of chocolate) were awarded to the groups or individuals for the best in the following categories: special effects, script, actor and actress, and best film.
